Futsal was chosen as the research subject because it is an intense physical activity and involves a lot of body movements that can increase heart and lung capacity. This study used a comparative design with a sample of 25 students divided into two groups: a group that regularly participates in futsal training and a group that does not engage in futsal activities. Cardiovascular capacity was measured using a VO2 Max test before and after a 6-week futsal training period. The analysis results showed a significant difference in the improvement of cardiovascular capacity between the group involved in futsal and the control group. These findings provide an important contribution to the development of exercise programs that can support the improvement of heart and lung health for students.
Desrio Windoro, Ajis Sumantri ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.unived.ac.id/index.php/edusport/article/view/10355 Fri, 02 Jan 2026 15:53:48 +0700 Pengaruh Latihan Side To Side Box Shuffle Dan Squat Jump Terhadap Power Otot Tungkai Pada Siswa Ekstrakurikuler Kabaddi SMP N 2 Denpasar https://jurnal.unived.ac.id/index.php/edusport/article/view/10523
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan side to side box shuffle dan squat jump terhadap power otot tungkai pada siswa ekstrakurikuler kabaddi di SMP Negeri 2 denpasar. The squat style long jump is a branch of athletics that requires strength, speed, and good body coordination. However, in the field it was found that students' abilities in performing long jumps are still not optimal, one of which is caused by the lack of proper training and limited supporting facilities. This study aims to determine the effect of plyometric box jump training on improving squat style long jump results. This type of research is an experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design, which involves initial measurements (pretest), treatment in the form of plyometric box jump training, and final measurements (posttest). The study was conducted in the field of SDN 19 Bengkulu City with a sampling technique using total sampling, so that all fifth grade students were used as research samples. The research instruments were long jump tests and measurements, with data collection techniques using performance tests assessed through a standardized assessment rubric. Data analysis was carried out using a one-sample t-test to compare the average results of the pretest and posttest. The analysis results show that the calculated t value is greater than the t table, which means there is a significant effect of plyometric training on improving the results of the squat style long jump. The conclusion of this study is that plyometric box jump training can significantly improve students' squat style long jump abilities. This training is recommended to be implemented in sports training programs in elementary schools, especially in developing basic athletic skills such as the long jump. This study also provides an important contribution to the world of sports training, especially in optimizing student performance in jumping sports.
Asep Krisna Wijaya Utama, Muhammad Sidik Juarsa ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.unived.ac.id/index.php/edusport/article/view/10411 Fri, 30 Jan 2026 21:40:44 +0700 Pengaruh Latihan Kecepatan Reaksi Terhadap Ketepatan Kiper Menangkap Bola Tendangan Penalti Pada Ekstrakurikuler Futsal Di Sma Negeri 01 Kota Bengkulu https://jurnal.unived.ac.id/index.php/edusport/article/view/10414
This study aims to determine the effect of reaction speed training on the accuracy of goalkeepers in catching penalty kicks in futsal extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 01 Kota Bengkulu. This study is quantitative in nature, using a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of eight futsal goalkeepers selected from extracurricular participants. The research instrument used an observation sheet for penalty ball catching skills, which assessed perfect catches, imperfect catches, and failed catches. The data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and t-tests to determine the significance of the differences in the results before and after the treatment. The results showed that reaction speed training had a significant effect on improving the accuracy of goalkeepers in catching penalty balls, with a t-value of -12.263 and a p- value < 0.05. This training improved the coordination between perception and motor response, accelerated reactions to the direction of the ball, and fostered mental readiness such as concentration and confidence. Thus, reaction speed training has been proven effective in improving the performance of futsal goalkeepers. Researchers recommend that reaction speed training programs be included in the futsal extracurricular curriculum, especially for goalkeepers. Further research with a larger sample size is recommended to reinforce these findings.
Achmad Junaidi, Dody Ertanto, Martiani Martiani, Muhammad Sidik Juarsa ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.unived.ac.id/index.php/edusport/article/view/10414 Fri, 30 Jan 2026 21:46:57 +0700 Pengaruh Latihan Circuit Training Terhadap Kecepatan Lari Sprint 50 Meter Pada Siswa SMP Negeri 12 Kota Bengkulu https://jurnal.unived.ac.id/index.php/edusport/article/view/10415
This study aims to examine the effect of circuit training on 50-meter sprint speed in students at SMP Negeri 12, Bengkulu City. Data were collected through non-participant observation of video recordings to identify rotation patterns and effectiveness. The results show that RRQ Hoshi's rotations are highly inconsistent; at their best, their rotations are highly effective, coordinated, and proactive in securing crucial objectives like Turtle and Lord, which are key to victory. However, when performance declines, their rotations become chaotic, undisciplined, and often lead to fatal failures due to uncoordinated, high-risk aggression and an inability to compete for objectives under pressure. Therefore, it is concluded that RRQ's success is not determined by their proven rotation strategy, but rather by the consistency of their execution and team coordination, which are the fundamental factors that determine their victory or defeat.
Revio Harkel, Feby Elra Perdima, Roni Syaputra ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.unived.ac.id/index.php/edusport/article/view/10346 Fri, 30 Jan 2026 22:22:17 +0700 Pengaruh Latihan Kekuatan Otot Lengan Terhadap Kemampuan Servis Bawah Bola Voli Pada Ekstrakurikuler Di SMPN 3 Kota Bengkulu https://jurnal.unived.ac.id/index.php/edusport/article/view/10347
This study aims to determine the effect of arm muscle strength training on volleyball underhand serve ability in extracurricular activities for students at SMPN 3 Bengkulu City. However, technological advancements and the dominance of modern games have shifted students’ interest away from traditional games. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the video visual method in improving students’ knowledge of traditional sports games, specifically Hadang, Bentengan, and Tap Jongkok, at SMP Negeri 18 Kota Bengkulu. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and knowledge tests (pretest and posttest). The subjects consisted of 100 students (50 male and 50 female). The learning process was conducted through educational video screenings, discussions, Q&A sessions, and direct field practice. The results showed that the students’ average pretest score was 62.4 (Poor category), while the posttest average increased to 82.6 (Good category), with an improvement of 20.2 points or 32.4%. Observations revealed a significant increase in learning focus (85%), discussion participation (80%), and practical involvement (90%). Interviews indicated that the video visual method helped students understand the material more clearly, made it easier to remember playing techniques, and sparked interest in playing traditional games again. This study concludes that the video visual method is effective in enhancing students’ knowledge of traditional sports games, while also supporting the preservation of local culture. It is recommended that PJOK teachers apply this method consistently with adequate school facilities.
Andre Anggara ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.unived.ac.id/index.php/edusport/article/view/10392 Fri, 30 Jan 2026 23:25:49 +0700 Pengaruh Metode Latihan Mini Game Terhadap Kemampuan Passing Bawah Atlet Bolavoli di Mvc Bengkulu Tengah https://jurnal.unived.ac.id/index.php/edusport/article/view/10393
Freestyle swimming is the fastest style, relying heavily on arm stroke power and leg kick propulsion. To improve speed, coaches often utilize auxiliary equipment, one of which is swim fins. This study aims to determine the effect of fins training on improving 50-meter freestyle swimming speed among athletes at Star Gloz Swimming Club. This study employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of Star Gloz Swimming Club athletes, with a sample of 10 athletes selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument was a 50-meter freestyle speed test using a stopwatch. The athletes received fins training treatment for 8 sessions. Data analysis included prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity) and hypothesis testing using a paired sample t-test with SPSS assistance. The results showed the average pretest time was 39.59 seconds, while the posttest average improved to 36.69 seconds. The t-test result showed a t-count value of 15.682, which is greater than the t-table (2.262), with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. This indicates that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. It is concluded that there is a significant effect of fins training on improving 50-meter freestyle swimming speed among athletes at Star Gloz Swimming Club. This question motivated an investigation into the level of cognitive competence among Swimming Performance Development students at the Faculty of Sports Sciences (FKOR), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), in understanding fundamental breaststroke techniques. Using a quantitative descriptive survey design, data were collected from 35 students through a ten-item multiple-choice knowledge test administered via Google Forms. The data were analyzed using validity testing (Pearson correlation: r ≥ 0.30; p < 0.05), reliability testing (Cronbach’s Alpha: α = 0.78), and descriptive statistical procedures. The results showed a relatively wide distribution of breaststroke technique knowledge: 31.4% of students achieved an “Excellent” category (scores 9–10), 25.7% fell into the “Good” category (7–8), 22.9% into the “Fair” category (5–6), 17.1% into the “Poor” category (3–4), and 2.9% into the “Very Poor” category (0–2). The overall mean score was 6.69 (SD = 1.57). Although more than half of the respondents (57.1%) demonstrated knowledge at the good to excellent level, a notable proportion of students continued to struggle with conceptual understanding. These findings contribute to the development of instructional strategies that are responsive to variations in students’ cognitive performance within swimming performance development programs in sports education institutions.
Muhammad Saifuddin ‘ Ittaqy, Agus Kristiyanto, Abdul Aziz Purnomo Shidiq ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jurnal.unived.ac.id/index.php/edusport/article/view/10344 Sat, 31 Jan 2026 00:00:00 +0700
